Wild Oats is one of the largest natural foods retailers in North America. Founded on the ideas of "community, organic, ... and stewardship of the earth", Wild Oats has a strong commitment to selling natural, organic, and non-polluting products. The company aims to provide 80% of its produce from certified organic sources. All foods sold at Wild Oats must be free of preservatives, free of artificial colors, free of chemical additives, minimally processed, non-irradiated, cruelty free and organically grown whenever possible. The company is also committed to selling hormone free dairy and hormone and antibiotic free meats. Wild Oats' mission is "to support organic farms that keep the earth, air and water pure."
Biotechnology Involvement
Wild Oats supports mandatory labeling of products containing genetically modified organisms and has committed to removing all genetically modified ingredients from its private label products.
