Husqvarna is an outdoor products company that was part of Electrolux (a Portfolio 21 company) for over 25 years. Husqvarna was spun off from Electrolux in June 2006. Husqvarna designs and manufactures chainsaws, lawn mowers, and garden tractors, as well as garden and stone cutting equipment. Husqvarna's history with Electrolux, a leading company in the area of environmental product design, has produced innovative designs including a solar-powered lawn mower. We hope to see Husqvarna continue its focus on environmental product development as an independent company. As with all companies in Portfolio 21, Husqvarna will be reviewed annually; however, special consideration will be made in the initial post-spinoff years to determine if the company is able to establish independent expertise in addressing its environmental impacts in product design and manufacturing operations.
